Alex Ose (they/them) is a NYC-based creative. They are a theatermaker, writer, and designer. A passion for history and research has prepared them for an ambitious career in theater, architecture, and personal design. Each of these worlds requires a thoughtful consideration of intersectionality and navigating how one exists and thrives in the world.
They are a graduate of UConn Design/Tech and have a background in wardrobe, production, and special-effects makeup. Hands-on, once-in-a-lifetime experiences truly make the best stories, like putting up scaffolding underwater in a pool for a dance floor or covering (and cleaning) a cast of Sweeney Todd in stage blood.
Previous credits include: Sweeney Todd (Village Light Opera Group); If We Were Birds, Men On Boats, Civil War Christmas, Henry IV (Connecticut Repertory Theater); Henry V (Evergreen Family Theater); The Night Alive, Now Circa Then, Curve of Departure (Chester Theater Company); FrightFest (Six Flags New England).
They love roller derby and have played with Athens Ohio Roller Derby and Team Ohio All Stars. Going by the name of Carpet Burns, they are proud to represent their home state of Connecticut as #860. The teamwork, diligence, and strength learned from derby will forever change someone. The bruises and cool names help too!
